We are seeking a diligent and reliable Dock Worker to join our dynamic team. The Dock Worker plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our facility by handling, organizing, and transporting goods within the dock area. This position requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, ensuring the accuracy of inventory, and maintaining a safe and organized dock area.

Responsibilities:

1. Loading and Unloading:

· Safely load and unload shipments from trucks and containers using appropriate equipment and tools.

· Verify the accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments against shipping manifests.

2. Material Handling:

· Organize and stack merchandise in designated areas to optimize storage space.

· Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move goods within the dock area.

4. Safety Compliance:

- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while operating equipment and handling merchandise.

- Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.

5. Communication:

· Collaborate with team members, truck drivers, and other personnel to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

· Communicate any issues or delays in the loading/unloading process to supervisors.

6. Quality Assurance:

· Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damages or defects.

· Report any quality issues to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements:

Physical Fitness:

· Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to a specified weight limit) and perform physically demanding tasks.

· Comfortable working in varying weather conditions.

Equipment Operation:

· Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

· Valid forklift certification is a plus.

Attention to Detail:

· Accuracy in checking and recording inventory.

· Ability to identify and report discrepancies in shipments.

Team Player:

· Effective communication and collaboration skills.

· Willingness to assist team members in various tasks.

Reliability:

· Punctuality and consistent attendance are essential.

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
