Job Title: Maintenance Manager
1st Shift: Monday-Friday (some weekend work)
Location: Jefferson
Job Summary: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance activities within an organization. This role involves managing a team of maintenance personnel, ensuring the effective operation of machinery and equipment, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of maintenance technicians and support staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
Maintenance Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure minimal downtime and optimal utilization of resources.
- Coordinate with production and other departments to plan and execute maintenance activities without disrupting operations.
Equipment Inspection and Repair:
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues.
- Oversee the repair and troubleshooting of equipment breakdowns, ensuring timely resolution.
Preventive Maintenance Programs:
- Develop and manage a preventive maintenance program to extend the lifespan of machinery and equipment.
- Establish and maintain documentation of maintenance procedures and schedules
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Enforce and promote safety regulations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions for maintenance staff.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and expenditures.
- Generate regular reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in maintenance operations.
- Stay informed about advancements in maintenance technology and recommend upgrades as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in maintenance management, with a focus on industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques and reliability-centered maintenance principles.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
- Budgeting and financial management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
